Yes, Rove Concepts is a legitimate furniture company. It sells modern and mid-century inspired furniture online across the United States and Canada, publishes detailed store and refund policies, and lists construction specs for every piece. That does not mean every Rove purchase is right for every buyer. The real questions are what you are actually getting, how long it takes to arrive, and what happens if something goes wrong. This review answers those questions using Rove’s own published policies and the specs on our Rove Concepts product pages.
The short answer
- Is it a real company with real products? Yes. Rove publishes shipping, lead time, return and damage claim rules on its store policy and refund policy pages.
- Are the pieces originals? Many are not. Several Rove product pages describe the piece as a reproduction of a classic design. Know that going in.
- Is the construction decent? The published specs are solid for the price range: kiln-dried hardwood frames, doweled joints, reinforced corner blocks and multi-layer high-density foam on the sofas.
- Where is the risk? Custom order lead times, strict return rules on custom pieces, and short windows for damage claims.
What you are actually buying
Rove Concepts is best known for sofas, sectionals and chairs with a designer look. Some of its most popular pieces are openly sold as reproductions. The Wishbone Chair is described as a premium reproduction of a classic mid-century design, and the Belia Open End Sofa is described as a premium Italian reproduction of a design from 1970. The Womb Chair and Ottoman follows the same idea.
That is not a scam, and Rove is upfront about it. It does mean you are buying a well-made interpretation of a famous design, not a piece from the original design house. If owning the licensed original matters to you, Rove is the wrong brand. If you want the look and a solid build at a lower price than the originals, it is a reasonable choice.
Construction: what the specs say
Here is what Rove publishes for three of its best-known sofas, as listed on our product pages.
| Berlin Sofa | Milo Sofa | Belia Open End Sofa | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Frame | Kiln-dried hardwood, doweled joints, reinforced corner blocks | Kiln-dried hardwood, doweled joints, reinforced corner blocks | Kiln-dried hardwood, dowelled joints, reinforced corner blocks |
| Support | Soft padded frame, polyurethane foam wrapped in polyester fiber | 8 gauge sinuous springs | Soft padded frame, polyurethane foam wrapped in polyester fiber |
| Cushions | 3-layer high-density foam topped with 100% goose down | 3-layer high-density foam topped with 100% goose feathers | 3-layer high-density foam |
| Feel | Soft | Soft | Medium |
| Size (W x D x H) | 94.6 x 39.4 x 25 in | 94.4 x 39.4 x 31.5 in | 118.2 x 39.4 x 26 in |
| Listed weight limit | Not listed | 770 lb | 485 lb |
The Berlin Sofa and the Wishbone Chair are also listed as tested to ANSI/BIFMA safety and durability standards. Our product pages note that Rove pieces are covered by the Rove Concepts 5-year limited warranty. Down-topped cushions like the Berlin’s and the Milo’s need regular fluffing to keep their shape, which is normal for any down-filled seat.
The policies that matter before you order
This is where most disappointed buyers get caught. These rules come from Rove’s own policy pages for orders placed directly with Rove.
- Lead times: in-stock items take an estimated 1 to 3 weeks in transit, which includes up to 1 week of warehouse processing. Local delivery near Rove’s warehouses takes 3 to 5 business days. Custom orders placed from 26 Feb 2026 carry a 14 to 20 week lead time.
- Shipping: a flat $159 standard shipping fee on orders up to $5,000 retail in the US and Canada, excluding Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico. Rural zip codes and weekend delivery can cost extra, and White Glove is extra.
- Returns: 30 days from delivery, and the customer pays return shipping. Custom orders, Final Sale items and parts cannot be returned.
- Damage claims: must be filed within 3 calendar days of delivery.
None of these are unusual for large furniture, but the custom order rule is the big one. If you choose a fabric or configuration that has to be made for you, treat the purchase as final.
Is Rove good value?
It depends on how you buy. Rove advertises a members’ discount, and members pay much less than the regular price. If you plan to furnish several rooms, the membership can make sense, and you should compare member pricing before buying anywhere.
If you are buying one or two pieces and are not a member, you pay the regular price plus Rove’s $159 shipping fee. The Everything Depot is an authorized Rove Concepts dealer. We sell at Rove’s regular price and include free freight shipping on orders of $999 or more, so non-members buying a sofa or sectional avoid that shipping fee. Orders under $999 ship for a flat $200 with us, so for a single small item like one chair, buying direct from Rove costs less to ship.
Who Rove Concepts is right for
- Good fit: buyers who want a modern or mid-century look, care about published construction specs, can wait for in-stock delivery or plan months ahead for custom pieces, and are comfortable with a reproduction of a classic design.
- Poor fit: buyers who need furniture within days, want a licensed original, or want the freedom to return a custom-made piece.
How to buy Rove safely
- Buy from Rove directly or from an authorized dealer. Very low prices from unknown sellers are a warning sign.
- Order swatches before choosing a fabric, especially for boucle and velvet.
- Measure the room and every doorway, hallway and stair turn on the delivery path.
- Confirm whether your exact piece and finish is in stock or a custom order before you pay.
- Inspect everything on delivery day and note any damage on the paperwork before signing.

Frequently asked questions
Is Rove Concepts a scam?
No. Rove is an online furniture brand with published policies, detailed product specs and a formal damage claims process. The risks to plan for are long lead times on custom orders and strict return rules on custom pieces, so read both policy pages before you order.
Are Rove Concepts sofas well made?
The published specs are strong for the category: kiln-dried hardwood frames with doweled joints and reinforced corner blocks, plus multi-layer high-density foam. Some models add goose down or sinuous springs. Comfort is personal, so check the listed feel (soft or medium) and seat dimensions.
Is Rove Concepts furniture original or a replica?
Several popular pieces, including the Wishbone Chair and the Belia sofa, are described by Rove as reproductions of classic designs. Read the overview on each product page, which says so when it applies.
What if my order arrives damaged?
For orders placed directly with Rove, file a claim within 3 calendar days of delivery. For orders placed with us, report freight damage within 7 days of delivery and see our return and refund policy.
