Rove Concepts Lead Times: What to Expect in 2026

Rove Concepts lead times depend on one thing more than anything else: whether your piece is in stock or made to order. In-stock furniture typically arrives in 1 to 3 weeks. Custom orders take 14 to 20 weeks. That gap is the difference between a new sofa this month and a new sofa next season, so it pays to know which one you are ordering before you pay. Here is what Rove’s published policies say, how to plan around them, and what changes if you buy through an authorized dealer.

Rove Concepts lead times at a glance

These estimates come from Rove’s store policy for orders placed directly with Rove.

Order type Estimated time What is included
In-stock items, standard shipping 1 to 3 weeks Transit time, including up to 1 week of warehouse processing
Local delivery near Rove’s warehouses 3 to 5 business days Delivery for qualifying local addresses
Custom orders placed from 26 Feb 2026 14 to 20 weeks Production plus delivery

Rove describes these as estimates, not guarantees. Build a little slack into any date that matters, such as a move-in, a holiday or a new baby.

In stock vs custom: why the gap is so large

An in-stock sofa is already built and sitting in a warehouse. The only wait is processing and freight. A custom order is built after you place it, so you wait for production first and shipping second.

Most Rove collections are offered in dozens of finishes. The Berlin Sofa lists 70 finish options, the Milo Sofa lists 123 and the Tanner Sofa lists 55. Not every finish and configuration will be sitting in stock at any given moment. The simplest way to avoid a surprise is to ask, before paying, whether your exact piece, configuration and finish is in stock or a custom order.

Custom orders are final, so decide carefully

The lead time is only half of the custom order story. Rove’s refund policy states that custom orders, Final Sale items and parts cannot be returned. For in-stock items bought direct, the return window is 30 days from delivery and the customer pays return shipping.

So a custom order means waiting 14 to 20 weeks for a piece you cannot send back. Before committing:

  • Order swatches. Fabric color on a screen is never exact. Boucle, velvet and linen also feel very different in person.
  • Measure the delivery path. Doors, hallways, stair turns and elevators, not just the room.
  • Tape the footprint. Mark the full width and depth on the floor with painter’s tape and live with it for a day.
  • Check the feel rating. Rove lists each sofa as soft or medium feel. The Berlin, Milo and Tanner are listed as soft; the Belia Open End Sofa is listed as medium.

How to plan your order timeline

  1. Weeks before ordering: shortlist two or three collections and request swatches.
  2. Order day: confirm in-stock or custom status, the delivery address and any access limits such as stairs or narrow doors.
  3. While you wait: clear the room and the delivery path, and plan to be home so you can receive and inspect the delivery yourself.
  4. Delivery day: open and inspect every box before the driver leaves if you can, and note any damage on the paperwork.
  5. Right after delivery: report problems quickly. For orders placed directly with Rove, damage claims must be filed within 3 calendar days of delivery.

Which pieces make sense when you are short on time

If you need seating soon, focus on configurations and finishes that are currently in stock, and be flexible on color. Modular collections help here. With the Berlin line, for example, you can start with a two-piece sofa and add an armless section or ottoman later, since the Berlin pieces join with included connectors.

If you need a guest bed as well as a sofa, the Milo Sleeper Sectional and Berlin Sleeper Sofa cover both needs with one delivery, which is one less lead time to manage.

Does buying through a dealer change the lead time?

The furniture itself comes from Rove, so production time for a custom piece does not change based on where you buy it. What changes is the buying experience around it. The Everything Depot is an authorized Rove Concepts dealer. We sell at Rove’s regular price, include free freight shipping on orders of $999 or more, and our product pages list white-glove and room-of-choice delivery as available on request. For a current estimate on your exact finish, call 866-777-2590 (Monday to Friday, 9AM to 6PM PST) before you order.

One note on pricing: Rove advertises a members’ discount, and members pay much less than the regular price. If you are a member, compare before you buy. If you are not, buying through us avoids Rove’s $159 standard shipping fee on orders of $999 or more.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Rove Concepts take to deliver?

In-stock orders are estimated at 1 to 3 weeks, including up to 1 week of warehouse processing. Local delivery near Rove’s warehouses is 3 to 5 business days. Custom orders placed from 26 Feb 2026 are estimated at 14 to 20 weeks.

Why is my Rove order taking 14 to 20 weeks?

That is the published lead time for custom orders, which are built after you order. If you chose a finish or configuration that was not in stock, your order is likely custom.

Can I cancel or return a custom Rove order?

Rove’s refund policy states that custom orders cannot be returned. Read the refund policy for cancellation details before placing a custom order.

What happens if my sofa arrives damaged?

For orders placed directly with Rove, file a claim within 3 calendar days of delivery. For orders placed with us, report freight damage within 7 days of delivery and see our return and refund policy.
