This Rove Concepts Winston dining table review covers every version we list: the 48 and 63 inch round tables with a walnut veneer pedestal, the 48 inch glass fiber concrete table, and the teak outdoor version. All share the same idea, a single wide pedestal under a round top, so nobody fights a table leg. The differences that matter are top material, weight, how much load the top is rated for, and price. All figures below come from our product pages and Rove Concepts’ own product pages, checked in October 2026.
Rove Concepts Winston dining table review at a glance
| Version | Size (W x D x H) | Tops | Base width | Max load | Our price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Winston 48 in | 48 x 48 x 29.5 in | Glass over white lacquer, or White Calacatta ceramic | 21.7 in | 80 lb | $2,323 glass, $2,483 ceramic |
| Winston 63 in | 63 x 63 x 29.5 in | Glass over white lacquer, or White Calacatta ceramic | 27.6 in | 97 lb | $2,799 glass, $3,092 ceramic |
| Winston Concrete | 48 x 48 x 29.5 in | Glass fiber reinforced concrete (Alabaster, Slate, Olympia Wax) | 25.6 in | Not listed | $2,099 to $2,232 |
| Winston Outdoor | 48 x 48 x 29.7 in | Sealed teak | 21.6 in | Not listed | $3,023 |
Rove lists the weights of the indoor versions as 207.2 lb (48 in), 299.8 lb (63 in) and 220 lb (concrete). That is heavy for a 4 to 6 person table, and it is why these tables ship in wooden crates.
Winston dining table design and build
The pedestal
The indoor Winston base is American walnut veneer over California Phase 2 compliant MDF, with a generously beveled top edge. The base is wide (21.7 in on the 48, 27.6 in on the 63), which keeps a heavy top stable but also takes some foot room under the center. With a round top, chairs can sit anywhere around the edge, which is the main reason people choose a pedestal table. Our guide to pairing tables with Wishbone chairs shows how many chairs fit around round tops of these sizes.
Top choices
- Glass over white lacquer: clear tempered glass sits over a high gloss white lacquer top. The glass is not removable. This is the lowest priced finish.
- White Calacatta ceramic: ceramic is hard and stain resistant. Rove’s product care page describes it as high strength and dirt resistant, cleaned with a damp cloth, and warns against hard knocks, especially on glazed edges.
- Glass fiber concrete: sealed, waterproof and UV tested, rated for indoor or outdoor use. Rove’s care page says pinholes, fine hairline cracks and color variation are natural to concrete and do not affect strength, and asks you to avoid acidic cleaners and pressure washers.
Our listing and Rove’s both still mention a white marble top in the description text, but the finish selector shows only glass and ceramic. If you want marble, call us before ordering.
Load rating
The 80 lb (48 in) and 97 lb (63 in) maximum load figures are worth knowing. They cover a dinner setting and serving dishes comfortably, but they mean the table is not a workbench, and nobody should sit on the edge.
Which Winston size should you buy?
- 48 in: the right size for four people, or a kitchen nook. Plan at least 36 in of clearance from the edge to walls so chairs can pull out.
- 63 in: a large round that seats six with room for serving dishes. It needs a room roughly 11 ft across to keep that clearance.

Winston dining table price: us vs Rove Concepts
We are an authorized Rove Concepts dealer. Here is how our current prices compare with what Rove’s own pages showed in October 2026:
| Version | Our price | Rove regular | Rove sale | Rove member |

Plainly: Rove members pay much less, and Rove’s current sale prices on the 48 in and concrete tables are below ours. Membership terms and math are in our post Is a Rove Concepts membership worth it? Buying from us makes sense if you are combining the Winston with other items from other brands we carry, want free freight on a $999+ order (Rove charges a flat $159 for standard shipping up to $5,000 retail per its store policy), or prefer our support team. Rove’s page also notes the 63 in table is available only in certain markets, so call us if it does not ship to your area.
Delivery, lead time and returns
Rove marks the Winston as a custom order, built to order, with lead times shown at checkout. Rove’s FAQ gives 14 to 20 weeks for custom orders and 1 to 3 weeks of transit for in-stock items; its store policy describes White Glove service as a delivery appointment, inside placement up to one flight of stairs, assembly and removal of large packaging. With a 200 to 300 lb crated table, white glove is worth pricing. From us, white glove and room of choice delivery are available on request.
Rove’s refund policy says custom orders cannot be returned, and its limited warranty runs 5 years on metal or solid wood structural failures and 1 year on soft parts and workmanship, with outdoor furniture handled separately. Orders through us follow our return and refund policy; ask us to confirm return terms on a built-to-order item before you buy.
Winston vs other Rove Concepts dining tables
If you like the single pedestal but want something different, the Gallus is an all-concrete sculptural table, and the Evelyn is a rectangular table with a ceramic or marble top. For a lighter round pedestal look, see the Tulip Table Round. The rest of the range is on our Rove Concepts brand page, and our Rove Concepts overview covers the company itself.
