Rove Concepts vs Arhaus: Which Is Better Value?

Rove Concepts vs Arhaus is a comparison between two different ways of buying a better sofa. Arhaus sells through its own showrooms and website, with White Glove delivery built around a flat fee. Rove Concepts sells modern, mid-century inspired pieces online, through its showrooms and through authorized dealers like us, with a paid membership that cuts prices on its own site. This guide compares what each brand publishes about construction, price, delivery, returns and warranty, using only pages we opened on 3 October 2026. We are an authorized Rove Concepts dealer and do not sell Arhaus, so we have kept the Arhaus side to Arhaus’s own words.

Build quality: how each brand describes its sofas

Arhaus’s Kipton Slim Arm Sofa page (arhaus.com/products/kipton-sofa) says frames are “craftsman-built using cross-directional hardwood laminate,” with no-sag springs from recycled steel, seat cushions of “dense foam made from partially plant-based material, padded with sterilized down and feathers” over interconnected coils, and that it is “crafted by our North Carolina upholstery artisans.”

Rove’s sofas describe a different recipe. Our Milo Sofa listing ($2,659) gives a kiln-dried hardwood frame with doweled joints and reinforced corner blocks, 8 gauge sinuous springs, and 3-layer high-density foam topped with 100% goose feathers, with a 770 lb weight capacity. The Diane Sofa ($2,468) and Porter Sofa ($2,743) use the same frame and spring construction and list 990 lb capacities. The Berlin Sofa ($2,799) pairs the same frame with 3-layer high-density foam and goose down.

Neither approach is automatically better: layered hardwood laminate and kiln-dried hardwood with corner blocks are both common in quality upholstery frames. A difference you may feel is in the cushions: Arhaus describes foam over coils wrapped in down and feathers, while Rove’s sofas use layered high-density foam, on some models topped with down or feathers. If you can, sit on both. Our guide to whether Rove Concepts couches are comfortable covers seat depth and feel across Rove’s range.

Price: comparing like with like

On 3 October the Kipton Slim Arm Sofa page listed variant prices starting at $3,150, with other sizes and fabrics at $3,290 to $5,460. Rove sofas at our store sit mostly between about $2,400 and $3,100 for a single sofa, for example the Diane at $2,468, Milo at $2,659 and Tanner at $3,036. Larger configurations cost more: the Berlin Sectional is $4,899.

Two cautions. Sale prices change often at both brands, so compare on the same day. And Rove members buying on roveconcepts.com get a large discount that a dealer price does not match, so a member buying direct may pay less than our listed price. We explain that math in is a Rove Concepts membership worth it. Where buying from us can help is free freight on orders of $999 or more, phone support, and combining Rove with other brands in one order.

Delivery: flat fees with different scopes

Arhaus’s delivery page (arhaus.com/pages/delivery-and-shipping-information) lists White Glove delivery at a $349 flat rate, in which the team will “unpack, inspect, assemble, and place your furniture in the room of your choice” and remove packaging. Alaska and Hawaii are $1,699, and oversized items add $150 to $499. Smaller items ship by parcel at $20 to $200 depending on order value. For in-stock furniture, Arhaus says it will contact you within 14 business days of purchase.

Rove’s store policy lists $159 flat standard shipping on orders up to $5,000 retail price to Canada and the US, excluding Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and some Canadian territories, with an estimated 1 to 3 weeks in transit. Its optional White Glove service includes a delivery appointment, inside placement up to one flight of stairs, assembly and removal of large packaging. For lead times by product, see our Rove Concepts lead times guide.

From us, Rove orders of $999 or more ship free by freight; below that it is a $200 flat fee. Our listings note White Glove and room-of-choice delivery are available on request by phone.

Returns and warranty

Arhaus’s returns page (arhaus.com/pages/returns-and-exchanges) gives 14 days for stock furniture, 30 days for non-furniture items and 60 days for mattresses. Non-defect furniture returns carry a 10% restocking fee, delivery fees are non-refundable except for defects or transit damage, and custom special orders may need a 50% deposit that is not refunded if returned. Clearance items are listed as non-returnable.

Rove’s refund policy requires products to be received back at its warehouse within 30 days of delivery in new condition; original shipping charges are not refunded, and custom orders and Final Sale items cannot be returned. Its limited warranty covers manufacturing defects for 5 years on metal or solid wood structural failures in residential use (outdoor furniture differs), with shorter coverage on other parts per the policy. Final Sale items get 90 days. When you buy Rove from us, our return and refund policy applies to the order.

Arhaus’s FAQ (arhaus.com/pages/frequently-asked-questions) says products carry a limited warranty against defects for the years noted in its warranty terms, and that optional Worry-Free Protection Plans cover accidental damage the warranty does not. It also notes that natural materials such as reclaimed wood show variations that are not defects.

Arhaus alternative sofa: when Rove makes sense

  • You like clean modern or mid-century lines. Browse the range on our Rove Concepts brand page.
  • You want published construction specs and weight capacities for each piece.
  • You want a smaller delivery fee on a single sofa and can handle standard delivery.

Arhaus may suit you better if you want to try pieces in a nearby showroom, prefer its North Carolina upholstery and finishes, or want an accidental damage plan from the retailer.
